Training hard on inadequate fuel produces fatigue, stalled progress and injury, and the internet's answer — more protein powder — addresses almost none of it. What actually moves performance is carbohydrate availability around training, total energy sufficient for the load, protein distributed across the day rather than dumped into one shake, and hydration you have actually planned.

This consultation is built around your sport, your training schedule and your competitive calendar. A five-day gym routine, a marathon block and a weekend team sport need different plans, and body-composition goals have to be timed around the season rather than pursued in the middle of it.

Iron, ferritin, vitamin D and B12 are reviewed as standard — they are commonly low in athletes, particularly in endurance sport and among women, and they show up as fatigue long before anything else does.

—How it works

From the first form to a plan that keeps up with you

Six stages. The last two repeat for as long as you work together — that loop is the point.

  1. 01Before the first call

    Assess

Pick a time and fill in the new-patient assessment — your details, health history, medication and what you want to change. A few minutes now means the consultation starts with the real picture.

  2. 02The consultation

    Understand

We go through your history, your routine and any blood work from the last six months together, and agree what to work on first. Nothing is planned around a number you have not seen.

  3. 03Plan, version 1

    Plan

A plan built from the food you already cook — every slot of every day, in household portions, with calories and macros calculated from the ingredients rather than estimated.

  4. 04Every day

    Live

Your plan arrives in the practice's app. Sign in with your phone number and the access code you're given, check meals off with a live photo, and log your weight and measurements.

  5. 05Between reviews↻ repeats

    Measure

Weight, measurements, adherence and any new blood reports gather in one record — the same record you and your nutritionist both see.

  6. 06Version 2, 3, …↻ repeats

    Adapt

At each follow-up the plan is revised against what the record actually shows. Earlier versions are kept, so progress is a history rather than a rewrite.

Included: the practice’s nutrition app

Your plan for this programme lives in the practice’s own app — today’s meals in household portions, a live-camera check-off so your nutritionist sees the real plate, your weight and measurement trends, and your blood markers charted against their normal ranges. It opens in the browser on any phone or laptop, and it is included in the programme fee.

Questions about sports nutrition

How much protein do I actually need?

Less than the internet says and more than most people eat — it depends on your body weight, sport and training phase, and it is calculated for you rather than taken from a generic figure.

Do you recommend supplements?

Only where there is evidence behind them and a reason in your case. Nothing is sold here, so there is no incentive to recommend anything you do not need.

Can I lose fat and gain muscle at the same time?

To a degree, and mostly in people newer to training or returning after a break. Where both are wanted, they are usually sequenced across the season rather than pursued simultaneously.

Questions about booking, fees, follow-ups or the app are answered in the practice FAQ.

Nutrition support complements your medical treatment — it does not replace your doctor's advice, diagnosis or prescribed medication. Nothing on this page is a diagnosis or a promise of a particular result.
